Rapper Finally Breaks Silence Since Allegations Of Assaulting A Fan Of Jessi

Rapper Koala belatedly apologized for the allegations that he assaulted a fan of singer Jessi.

On June 4, he posted a handwritten apology in Korean and English on his personal Instagram account.

“Hello, this is KOALA. Sorry, it took me a while to speak up. I’ve been wanting to say this, but I felt it was only right to wait until everything was lawfully revealed and handled properly.
First, I want ot sincerely apologize to the victim and his family. Althought I wanted to apologize to you personally, I can understand your wishes to not see me in person. You didn’t deserve what happened, and I carry real regret for the pain I’ve caused. I’m also sorry to anyone else affected directly or indirectly. I know I let a lot of people down, and that is something I take seriously.
What happened was my responsibility. Although I was not the initial attacker, he was part of the group we were with, and I was a big part in escalating the situation because of a simple misunderstanding and bad judgment. It should have never gone that for and that’s on me. I’ve accepted the consequences and have been holding myself accountable ever since.
This wasn’t easy to face, but I’ve taken the time to reflect and grow. No excuses, no blame— just lessons. I’m working on myself, quietly and seriously, everyday.
Thank you to those who have supported me, even when it wasn’t easy. And to those I’ve disappointed— I hear you, and I’m doing the work to be better. The case is officially closed, and I promise to show everyone a better version of me. Thank you for taking the time to read.”

Previously, a fan approached Jessi and was assaulted by a man believed to be the singer’s acquaintance. The footage was released to the public and was criticized for neglecting her responsibility in the situation.

The police found no evidence of her threatening the victim and decided not to proceed with the charges.
Meanwhile, producer Koala, accused of threatening the minor fan, faced charges of assault.
