Kim Sae Ron’s Family’s Intentions Further Questioned Following New Exposé

New developments have emerged in the case surrounding the late actress Kim Sae Ron, with netizens raising further concerns about her family’s role and intentions during her final days and after her passing.

According to a recent report, Kim Sae Ron’s biological father contacted her landlord on February 18, just one day after her funeral, asking for the return of a ₩50.0 million KRW (about $35,700 USD) rental deposit. However, it was later confirmed that the deposit did not belong to Kim but had been paid by an executive from an education company — known only as Mr. A — who had stepped in to help the actress during her financial struggles.

Mr. A had twice paid deposits on homes where Kim lived after Kim reportedly asked for help covering her rent. A close friend, a singer identified as B, is also said to have helped with one of the deposits. Both individuals opted to pay directly, rather than lend Kim money, to avoid personal complications.

The landlord explained to Kim’s father that the lease was under Mr. A’s name, so the deposit could not be returned to the family. He reportedly accepted the explanation once he was made aware of the situation.

Despite her struggles, Kim never missed rent payments, reportedly covering all living expenses through part-time work.

This comes as Kim’s family continues to face skepticism after alleging she was pushed to the edge by her former agency’s debt collection. However, records show that her agency had written off her debt and had no plans to pursue legal repayment.

Money Today says Gold Medalist had sent two formal notifications to Kim’s side, but clarified these were “procedural” and asked for understanding. Kim Saeron also never paid any interest or other fees to the agency.

The outlet also claims that the accusations regarding Kim Soo Hyun’s relationship with Kim Sae Ron contain alleged factual errors.

From 2016 to 2019, both Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were publicly known to be dating other people. There’s also no evidence Kim Sae Ron ever worked behind the scenes at Gold Medalist.

The so-called ‘2016 photo’ she referenced was actually taken sometime after 2019. Other photos released as alleged ‘evidence’ of their relationship have also been proven false, in some, the man isn’t even Kim Soo Hyun. The ‘spicy chicken stew’ video, supposedly filmed at Kim Soo Hyun’s house in 2018, actually included other people present at the time.
